Jeremy Fetzer grew up in a lower middle class family in Elgin IL. At 19 years of age Fetzer enlisted in the US Navy where he served honorably for 3 years active duty service and 5 years inactive duty. Fetzer was assigned to an aircraft carrier and served in two Persian Gulf tours honorably. Honorably discharged in 2000, Fetzer started college and graduated from Northern Illinois University college of business. Fetzer began his post-College career as an account executive for UPS for 3 years, then Brinks Inc. for 6.5 years and lastly John M. Floyd & Associates for 6.5 years. He won many sales excellence awards from each respective company. After starting a family and having a son, Fetzer became a regional sales director for JMFA.
